Ullswater Landscape Photography Workshop

Capture the Beauty of the Lakes in Autumn

Join us for a landscape workshop at one of my favourite locations in the Lake District - Glenridding, at the head of Ullswater.

Over the years, we've found Friday to be an excellent choice for Lake District workshops. Parking isn't an issue, unlike Saturday and Sunday!

Also, it's relatively quiet, and this one is timed for just after the school holidays.

I've also found that people like to have something like this to look forward to on a Friday, and are more than happy to take a long weekend (who wouldn't be?)

I'll show you how to get the best results from your camera during the day, as we concentrate on photographing the lake and surrounding mountains. The workshop will include tuition on how to capture water perfectly.

While you don't need any additional equipment, you'll find it useful to bring a circular polarising filter. If you have them, I can also show you how to get the best from ND filters (solid & graduated)., but they're not essential.

If you'd like advice on buying filters, just let me know. You can get a basic set for very little money.

We welcome all ability levels, from absolute beginners, to people who've dabbled with landscape photography, to more experienced photographers.

The photographs from these workshops are always special. People are blown away by how easy it is to get stunning results.

Your images from the our photography workshops will be different to what anyone else is doing, and will attract attention for all the right reasons.

Booking Conditions & Information

  • All bookings are final. However, you may be able to send someone else in your place, if need be.
  • At the moment, I'm sorry to say, we're unable to control the weather! Workshops will go ahead in most conditions, as long we decide it's safe to do so. Please bear in mind that forecasts are frequently wrong - and also that different weather conditions can produce interesting results, if you're willing to embrace them.
  • We need to start on time, and keep track of all participants, so please arrive at the meeting point a few minutes before the official start time. Please let the instructor know if you need to leave early.
  • Spectator places are available at a reduced price. Please note, all spectators must accompany a paying photographer, and stand back from the cameras (for safety, and to ensure everyone gets a clear shot).
  • We'll email you joining instructions, including directions to the meeting point, at least 2 days before the workshop.
